Michael Milillo Obituary

Michael Dominic Milillo,entered into his eternal home on his 98th birthday , March 2,2026. 

  He was born in Bari, Italy the son of the late Steven and Consiglia (Tanzella) Milillo and was proud to have dual citizenship and also two legal birthdays. He graduated from East High School, Class of 1946. Mike then entered the US Army and served our country proudly from 1946-48, while serving in the military police in Kobe, Japan. 

 Upon his honorable discharge, he worked at family owned, Milillo’s Grocery on Orchard St. 

 In 1969, he was employed by the former Singer/ Snyder General and more recently McQuay Int., as a senior buyer for more than 24 years, retiring in 1993.

  Mike was actively involved in his community and was an original member of the Frank Calimeri Drum & Bugle Corps, more recently named the Purple Lancers.  Mike was a very devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and standout bowler.  Mike enjoyed playing golf and taking an occasional trip with his wife Phyllis to one of our local casino’s. His favorite word to yell out was, ‘BINGO’ , although he didn’t say it as often as he would have liked.  Mike was a gentle soul with a heart of gold that will be greatly missed! A life well lived!

  He is survived by his three loving children, twins Michael (Janice) Milillo of Colorado and Mary Ann (Felix) Mucedola of Auburn, and Phyllis (Thomas) Lisano of Auburn, grandchildren, Joshua (Chelsey) and Laura Milillo, Tia (Aaron) Howe, Felix (Domenica) and girls Alessandra and Natalia, Michael, Frank Mucedola, great grandchild Lucas and Connor, Carson, and Kendall, sister-in-law Theresa Milillo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his loving wife of almost 75 years, Phyllis (Vinciguerra) Milillo, a sister Rose and two brothers Joseph and Nick.

 A calling hour will be held Monday from 10 AM until 11 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church with his mass of Christian burial to immediately follow. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.

  A special thank you to the excellent care that has been shown to Mike, allowing him to be in the comfort of his home all these years, with love to, Linda and Joe Sliwka, Sanom Potter, Lou David, Anne Marie Green, Stephanie Coleman, Barbara Gilmore and Shane who took meticulous care of the lawn and Dr. Garrett Smith .
