Anna (Durniak) Kynio, 91, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, February 19, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Panko and Mary Durniak. Ann graduated from Central High School, Class of 1952, and retired from Auburn Leathercrafters after many years of dedicated service. She was also a longtime resident of the Boyle Center Apartments.
She found great fulfillment in keeping a beautiful household and enjoyed traveling to attend musical stage productions, as well as spending time with her children and friends. She was a former member of both Saints Peter & Paul Church and St. Mary’s Church.
A devoted mother and good listener, she is survived by her loving children, Debbie (Bill) Patrick and Stephen Kynio; her sister, Julia Scarselletta; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several siblings.
Family will greet friends in St. Mary’s Church for a calling hour Thursday, February 26th from 10:00 until 10:45, with her Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 am. Burial is in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
