Terry L. Dean, 69 of Elbridge, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. “Handsome Terry Dean” is a Legend of his own right. He was born on March 30, 1955, in Port Huron, Michigan and grew up in the Bear Lake MI area. He graduated from Brethren High School as a standout four sport athlete. He spent his adult life living near Elbridge, NY. He had a love of adventure for life, from scuba diving at 4 years old, receiving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 16, and enduring the rank of First Mate on the Mary E with his father Captain Emil.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, who spent his career in sales and management in the fishing and outdoor sporting-goods industry at G.B.Stumpp & Associates.
He continued adventure as an adult by earning his instrument rating as a pilot and Great Lakes Captain's License. Terry had a love of boating and being on the waters of Michigan and the Thousand Islands, New York. There was no boat big enough for HTD, always captaining like the professional he was. He enjoyed sharing time with his wife, children and grandchildren and numerous friends. Terry was well known for his card tricks, being a prankster and sharing many well-timed stories with anyone who was lucky enough to share his company. He will be deeply
missed, but never forgotten- and surely talked about with every Manhattan cocktail enjoyed!!
