Nancy Ann Vassallo

Nancy Ann (Skinkle) Vassallo, 71 of Auburn, passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

  She was born in Skaneateles , NY, the daughter of the late Donald and Beverly (Bailey) Skinkle and had resided in the area her entire life. Nancy was a longtime hair stylist and, more recently, was employed for several years as the manager at O.T.B. in Auburn.  Nancy was most happy the times she shared with her family. She cherished and adored all of her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all of them. Her family was her life !

  She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Pasquale Vassallo, four children, Michele (Willie) James, Robert O'Hara (Mandy Warren), Lucia (Nigel) Greene, Sebastiano Vassallo (Nikole Vitetta), fifteen grandchildren, Delarae, Samuel, Majel, Chalise, Chandrea, Chanele, Elizabeth, Robert IV, Ethan, Parker, Amariona, Giovanni, Nyleia, Gianna, Graciela, ten great-grandchildren, a brother Harold Skinkle Sr., as well as several other relatives and friends.

  In addition to her parents, Nancy was also predeceased by a sister Donna Pedley.

  Calling hours are this Thursday, March 14th from 5 to 7 pm in Pettigrass Funeral Home. Services are Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn with the Rev. Louis Vasile, officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Mausoleum.
