Margaret Renahan Obituary

Margaret (Schillace) Renahan of Henry Dr, Auburn, formerly of N Fulton St. passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Margaret was born in Auburn on February 11, 1929, to Giuseppe and Pasqualina (Greco) Schillace.

Margaret was a graduate of Auburn West High School. She was employed by Firth Carpet Company for many years until its closure. At that time, she became an employee of Lakeland Visual Aid where she met her future husband William “Bill” Renahan. In later years, Margaret worked for her best friend and cousin, Margaret Cuddy at Maggie’s Pies and Pasta.

Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Bill and all her siblings: Elizabeth Catto, John Schillace, Marjorie Servais and Dominic Schillace.

She is survived by her son and daughter- in- law: William J. and Sarah (Thurston) Renahan , her grandchildren: William “Will” and Michael “Ike” , of New York City; Her daughter and son- in- law Ellen and Dr. David Petrosino, with whom she resided; two step grandchildren, Gabrielle Dale (Seth) and Luke Petrosino (Jessica); and her sisters- in-law Suzanne Schillace, Sophie Renahan and Nancy Renahan.

Margaret also leaves behind four generations of nieces and nephews who adore their Aunt Margaret. Throughout her life, Margaret welcomed and doted on all the children of family, friends and neighbors alike. Among this multitude, there wasn’t an infant she hadn’t held, fed and burped.
